Arindam Chowdhury

I am Arindam Chowdhury , a 26 yrs old Drummer/Percussionist from “The heart of North Bengal”  Siliguri which spans areas of the Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts in the Indian state of West Bengal.I was born in a music family background.My Mother Mrs. Subhra Chowdhury (Classical Music Teacher and an ALL INDIA RADIO ARTIST) being my biggest inspiration.I began my music journey as a self taught Tabla player in 2002, later in 2004 took classes from my Guruji “Jaydeep Sanyal. I love exploring on rhythms and different instruments.I started playing Drums in 2014 as a self taught learner.Discovered many great legendary drummers and explored different music genres.I am highly influenced by “Dream Theatre” the biggest name in progressive metal bands and followed the drumming of the Legendary Sir “Mike Portnoy”.In 2015, I decided persuing music professionally and shifted to Kolkata in 2018 for my further journey.I started touring different parts in India with local bands and Artists, performed in many campus, private, corporate and club events. Apart from being a performer I am a Music Teacher , teaching my students world wide and help them become not only a good drummer but an honest musician as a whole.I love spending time with kids and letting them reach their highest level of expertise in doing what they love . I am currently persuing Western Classical Drums from TRINITY COLLEGE OF MUSIC LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and also prepare students for the grades and exams from this reputed college.Take a tour on this website and explore more about my performances, teaching and concert tours.
